EHW 2018: Intersections

Inaugural Environmental History Workshop

Monday 3rd September 2018

Institute of Historical Research, London

Our first workshop took place on Monday 3 September, at the IHR in London. Check out our blog for reflections on the day, and our plans for next year. Thank you to everyone who attended, presented or chaired this year. It was wonderful to see so many environmental historians in one room!

This one-day colloquium at the Institute of Historical Research will bring together leading academics, early career researchers and PhD students for the inaugural Environmental History Workshop. The workshop aims to establish an institutional space and informal network fostering dialogue between environmental historians across the UK.

We are very grateful for the financial support of the Institute of Historical Research, the British Agricultural History Society and the Royal Historical Society. This funding has enabled this conference to remain free of charge, and for us to offer bursaries to Early Career Researchers.
